Every first Saturday of the month, head over to American Legion Post 41 in Silver Spring, MD, and you’ll find three or four local bands and sometimes a touring band playing great garage rock/punk derived music. Organized by local lo-fi garage punk band, Apollo 66, these shows are always free and curated for the pure love of rock ‘n’ roll and the community it creates. Post 41 has cash a bar (ATM on site) with cheap drinks and a whole bunch of friendly welcoming faces.
